About the job
As a copy writer, you will be working alongside the team in a high-growth journey. You will be responsible for the complete growth funnel.

Key result area
- Landscape: Understanding of B2B marketing and what it entails (and how it is different from B2C)
- Customer: Understanding B2B target personas, competition set and industry of the client
- Content: Ability to craft content strategy according to buyer journey
- Objectives: Understanding how B2B objectives work for a client (Go to Market / Thought Leadership / Product Marketing / Demand Generation)
Content/Copy & Strategy
- Understanding of various content marketing formats popular in B2B writing (Whitepapers, e-books, blogs, video scripts, reports)
- Strong research capabilities and ability to cull out actionable insights from complex documents to make marketing sense
- Be up to date with LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook and the various content solutions the platforms offer
- Ideate on creative campaign ideas with the larger team from the copy front (both for existing clients as well as, for pitches)
- Ability to quickly create a presentation to demonstrate an idea and present to the client
Team Management
- Set up strong reporting and governance/ review mechanisms in place for all content writers of the company
- Regular feedback for improvement in the style/campaign direction of the client
- Help the team in brainstorming and cracking big ideas and ensuring the relevance of the idea is married to the objective
- Allocate resource required for pitch or other internal marketing as and when required
- Plan regular training sessions, assist our LMS (Learning Management System) head by suggesting relevant courses that can be done by the writers
- Maintain a quarterly scorecard for performance understanding and regular feedback for appraisals
Company Initiatives
- Be an active stakeholder and participant in leadership sessions organized by the CEO
- Suggest process improvements, tools, frameworks for better content, and hence, company performance
- Participate in internal marketing campaigns and idea brainstorming sessions
- Regular weekly plans discussion with the CEO and updating him on the pending and completed tasks
General Proficiencies
- Be good with understanding, interpreting and debriefing marketing briefs
- Confident to engage with the clients directly over calls and video conferencing
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Both independent and a team worker with situational wisdom and flexibility
